We've had a pretty busy summer so far with visitors and work (yep that's right- I'm having (to do) it all as a summer school teacher and a mom), so sorry for the mini break. Here's an update. As last you saw, Carter could walk. He no longer does. He's gotten really good (aka fast) with crawling and no longer has the patience for walking (so like his father). He's so fast in fact, he likes to shut us out of our own bedroom . . . Unfortunately, he's yet to figure out how to get back out and then gets mad. We've had the pleasure of several visitors this month. Baby Olivia brought her parents by- Scott and Sophie- you can check out their blog if you'd like the details of their stay. Carter takes a while to warm up to people, except Olivia- he thought she was hilarious. Then Uncle Sam and Skyler came for a visit. He was excited to have two young men with lots of energy around to keep up with him . . .

he forgot to take into account jet lag. We did have a lot of fun with the boys and in true Olson fashion, the only pictures we have of the trip are mainly pictures of other people taking pictures . . .

By the end of the visit though, Carter decided that he really liked his uncles.But now that they're gone, we have to contain the monster on our own . . .

Happy July! I hope you've found ways to stay cool . . . apparently librarians get upset when you try to hang out in their a/c and your baby finds it hilarious to take off all the music CD's from the shelf . . . we have to find another way to stay cool . . .
