We spent the holidays in Colorado this year with Isaac's family. It was the first time the whole family was together in two years and the first time grandkids were in the mix. It was a very fun two weeks, especially with all the built in babysitters.

We spent our first night at a hotel, so we hit up the pool with Carter. He likes swimming in his Speedo.

While on vacation, Carter worked on several of his skills. His rolling over skills, his talking skills and his bendy, toe-eating skills . . .

On Christmas Eve, we recreated the Christmas story with authentic costumes brought by Sophie and Scott who are currently living in the Middle East. Carter played Baby Jesus fabulously. Here "Joseph" and "Jesus" pose with the evil "innkeeper" who kicked them to the curb.

Christmas morning we all lined up for the Christmas morning photo from youngest to oldest. Sometimes being married to the eldest means barely making the photo . . . but after a night of little sleep, that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Carter really did well in the loot department. You can see he spread his toys around quickly and LOVES his baby sunglasses, cute and functional.

New Year's Eve we had a family photo shoot with all the new grandbabies. Uncle Sam was the only one willing to take all three on at the same time.

Carter was excited to meet his new cousins, but they weren't all that interested in him. Maybe because he kept hitting them in the face. I'm sure they'll appreciate him more as they get older.
