Snow Day

We finally got snow!  It was a perfect storm that hit Friday afternoon so that Daddy got to come home from work early (and got to help with laundry).  We woke up on Saturday with the prefect amount of snow to go out and play.  We tried last year, and didn't last 5 minutes, but this year we were ready.  We went to the park behind our house and tried sledding.  I didn't feel like buying a sled and keeping it in the house for 364 days a year for 1 day of fun, so we tried card board.  It wasn't really that effective, but luckily another mom was well equipped and let us borrow a sled from her.

At first, Carter wasn't too sure, and tried to roll out of the sled as it went down the hill, but eventually his inner daredevil came out and he enjoyed the ride, trying all different types of poses.  Jonah took one turn down the hill strapped to me in his Bjorn and that was good for him.

We've been reaching down into our creative side to stay active indoors.  We play a lot of "Ole" where I hold up a blanket for my two bulls to run into, often to 80's pop music.  We do a good job of avoiding run ins, but that's not to say we don't have at least 1 or 2 each time.  The boys also like to be super heroes  or rather Captains Underwear.  But as long as they can run and jump they are just fine.
Jonah has learned the art of the zerburt.  He gives every thing zerburts, our bellies, our arms, our hair, the couch, the floor and we've even tried the subway . . . Jonah seems to have no problem trading a germ free mouth for a good farty sound.

I wish I could come and be the bull. The park looks like a winter wonderland. Ole malmalamalmalmlaalm
